Scott creates beautiful, unique items that are perfect as gifts for friends and family or simply to add a touch of class and inspiration to your own home. Every item is carefully hand crafted making it a one of a kind, unique item that is impossible to replicate so you know when you buy from Scott’s Woodturning that you have a very individualised piece of unique art.
Scott first tried his hand at woodturning many years ago with young children still at home and a full time job. Due to time constraints and his on-going schedule of domestic maintenance, his passion for woodturning didn't really come to the fore until around 11 years ago. After visiting his local woodturning club Taywood Turners, Scott was hooked and since then his skill, dedication and expertise have gone from strength to strength.
Scott has now retired from full time work and splits his time between his 4 grand-children, woodturning and Guide Dog for the Blind in training - a black labrador puppy called Benny. Lesley, Scott's wife of forty years, has been a constant support in his passion for woodturning, particularly when Scott spends much of every day standing in front of his lathe!
He has crafted several commissioned pieces and sells successfully both online and at various craft exhibitions around the country. His hand-crafted pieces are popular as gifts, but increasingly some of his small items have become very popular with Brides-To-Be as wedding favours. Whatever your requirements might be, feel free to get in touch. Discounts may apply to smaller items bought in bulk and please be aware, that specifically commissioned pieces may take a few weeks to craft.
